Ten steps, four hands
Every step names who starts it and who it reaches. The loop never ends at the customer: it comes back to you, and back to us.
Setting up
OwnerKartak
You send us a message
A DM to @getkartak with the shop's name, how many branches you have, and what you would like to give away. No form, nothing to sign first.

We build the card and come by
We design the card in your colours, set the reward, print the counter stand and table cards, and open your owner account. The demo takes ten minutes at your counter.
Uses Card design, counter stand, owner account
OwnerStaff
You give your team their own logins
Each barista, waiter or cashier gets a staff login that opens one page: the scanner. It cannot see your numbers, change the card or send messages.
Uses Team page
Getting customers
OwnerCustomer
You put the card where people already look
The stand by the till, a QR code on the table and the menu, a line on the receipt, the link in your Instagram bio and in a story.
Uses Counter stand, table cards, Instagram link
CustomerOwner
They add it in one tap
They tap the stand or scan the code, see your card, and press Add to Apple Wallet or Save to Google Wallet. No app to download and no account to make.

Every visit
CustomerStaff
They show the card, staff scan it
At the till or the table, the customer opens the card from the lock screen. Staff scan it with the counter phone. One stamp lands, with the time and the name of whoever gave it.

StaffCustomer
The card fills, the reward is theirs
On the last stamp the card says the reward is ready. Next visit, staff scan it, hand over the reward, and the card starts again from zero.

Keeping them
OwnerCustomer
You send a note to their lock screen
A new pastry, double stamps until noon, closed for Eid. Send it to everyone, to the ones close to a reward, or to the ones who have not come in a while.
Uses Messages, promotions
StaffOwner
You read what happened
Visits by day and by hour, new and returning customers, stamps given by each member of staff, rewards handed out, and the regulars who stopped coming.
Uses Dashboard, reports

Seven kinds of shop
The loop is the same everywhere. What changes is who scans, and when.
A café with one counter
The simple case. One stand by the till, one counter phone, one barista or two.
- Who scans
- The barista
- When
- When the coffee is paid for
- Reward idea
- The tenth coffee on the house
A bakery or a man'oushe queue
Ten people waiting at eight in the morning. A scan is one look at the screen, so the line keeps moving.
- Who scans
- The cashier
- When
- When the bag is handed over
- Reward idea
- A free man'oushe after eight
A restaurant with waiters
The stamp follows the bill, not the counter. Each waiter signs in with a staff login on their own phone or the floor phone. Table cards bring in people who never stand at a till.
- Who scans
- The waiter, at the table
- When
- When the bill comes
- Reward idea
- A dessert after five dinners
A chain with several branches
One card works in every branch. A customer who started in Achrafieh keeps stamping in Jounieh. Each branch has its own staff, and you see every branch side by side.
- Who scans
- Staff of the branch they visit
- When
- As in each branch
- Reward idea
- The same reward everywhere
A barber or a salon
Visits are weeks apart, so the reminder matters more than the stamp. Message the ones who have not come in five weeks.
- Who scans
- Whoever finishes the cut
- When
- After the cut
- Reward idea
- The sixth cut free
Summer and the holidays
Families back from abroad fill the streets in July and again in December. A card added in summer is still on their phone when they come back for the holidays.
- Who scans
- As usual
- When
- July to September, and the holidays
- Reward idea
- A welcome-back note to everyone not seen since summer
DeliveryComing
For orders you take on your own WhatsApp or Instagram. The driver signs in as staff and scans the card at the door.
- Who scans
- The driver
- When
- On delivery
- Reward idea
- Free delivery after five orders
When something goes wrong
The questions shops ask in the first month, and what happens.
- A customer gets a new phone
- Apple Wallet and Google Wallet keep cards in the customer's account, so the card comes back when they sign in on the new phone. If it does not, send us the card number and we move the stamps over.
- Someone was stamped twice by mistake
- The scan page keeps an Undo button for two minutes after each stamp. Every stamp after that stays on the record with the time and who gave it.
- A member of staff stamps for friends
- A card can be stamped only once every few minutes, and every stamp carries the name of whoever gave it. Stamps per person are in your reports, so one number that stands out is easy to spot.
- Someone leaves the team
- Remove them on the Team page. Their login stops working at once, on every phone it was open on.
- The counter phone goes missing
- A staff login can only scan. Reset its password on the Team page and the lost phone is signed out straight away. Sign in on the new phone and carry on.
- A customer's phone has no NFC
- The counter stand and the table cards also carry a QR code. The camera opens the same card.
Tell us how your shop runs.
How many branches, how many staff, counter or table service. We set the loop up around that and walk your team through it.
